A touch og Maghreb... La Villa Mauresque
Although the original minaret is no longer in sight, the Villa Mauresque in Saint-Raphaël, with its crenellated walls, pink and saffron-tinted façade and richly ornamented balconies, evokes the architecture of nineteenth-century oriental palaces. To the rear, the building, all in white, rises above a garden adorned with palm trees and bougainvillea. But that's not all... Transformed into a five-star hotel, the Villa offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea!

The Cap Roux reserve, also known as the fishing zone, is a protected area and part of the Estérel Nature 2000 site. With its translucent turquoise waters, the Mediterranean here takes on an exotic air, reminiscent of tropical paradise islands. Underwater, the spectacle is breathtaking. You don't need to dive very deep to see castagnoles, saupes or sars. The largest, such as dentex and barracuda, move around in schools, while groupers prefer to swim alone. And if you're lucky, you may come across a stingray or the most elegant of Mediterranean fish, the cob, with its metallic silhouette and golden sheen.

With its red ochre façade and corner towers, the Missiri mosque is a miniature replica of the great mosque of Djenné in Mali, often cited as the most prestigious architectural jewel in West Africa. It was built between 1928 and 1930 at the Caîs camp in Fréjus, where the Senegalese troops who landed on the coast in 1971 were stationed. Although the building is known as a mosque, it was used more as a meeting place than for religious worship.
