What a pleasure it is to have a little nap in the open air, lulled by the song of the cicadas and the breath of the air. You're already yawning, aren't you? Discover our selection of the best siesta spots in the Esterel Côte d'Azur and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of nature in the destination!

"In Provence, the sun rises twice, in the morning and after a siesta".

If you want to immerse yourself in the Provençal art of living, there's nothing like following in the footsteps of novelist Yvan Audouard and discovering why here, the sun rises not once, but twice a day! So how do you go about this unique experience? It's very simple... All you have to do is adopt the well-known ritual of the inhabitants of the south: the siesta, or as we say in Provençal, the 'pénéqué'.

Whether you opt for an invigorating micro-nap or a long restorative break, the benefits are there to remind you just how valuable this habit is: stress reduction, improved concentration, memory, energy and mood. And did you know that in some cultures, such as Asia, taking a siesta is synonymous with respect for yourself and others? So why not bring this philosophy home to us?

Whether you're at the beach, out for a stroll or after a picnic, it's the perfect time to let yourself relax, without judgement. All you need to do is find a shady spot, in a forest, under the pines, near a lake, or why not in a gorge. And don't forget to protect yourself from the sun, because it never takes a break! So make yourself comfortable, leaning against a tree or lying on a mat in a patch of grass. Close your eyes, relax... Enjoy your nap!
