The chocolate and cocoa House
Have you ever seen... a chocolate museum in a 17th century chapel? Roquebrune-sur-Argens has been offering you this original visit for 10 years. The visit of the museum is completely free and allows you to discover a beautiful collection of 1000 pieces associated with chocolate.
The first part of the visit is dedicated to the origins of chocolate. Did you know that chocolate, before being a delicacy, was considered a medicine?
In the rest of the main area, there are many collectibles on chocolate: advertisements, accessories, derivatives... Moreover, for this new museum, the 3 chocolate makers of the city have each created a chocolate structure displayed in the window.
The entire last part of the museum is dedicated to the children with a "Choco-mômes" area offering the possibility of organising children's birthday party and privatising this area. Workshops for children take place every Tuesday in July and August, check with the Tourist Office.
