Flight over the Gorges du Blavet
In the footsteps of our ancestors
Inhabited in the Bronze Age, the Grotte du Mueron (Mueron's cave) has a very large entrance and a remarkable ceiling height! You will find traces of our ancestors dating back 12,000 years with J-C. This monumental place was dug into red volcanic rock near the Blavet River.
There are several other caves but this one remains the best known and easiest to access.
Here, the cicadas sing
Cliffs of ochre colours, green vegetation, this is the show that the Gorges du Blavet have in store for you.
With its breathtaking landscapes, take the time to admire them and breathe a little! Look around you, butterflies, dragonflies and lizards will come to say hello... and the cicadas will sing!
Climbing the Blavet Gorges
This place is one of the major climbing sites in the Var. Several climbing trails are available on the site. Among them the most impressive and best known which is located along the wall above the Grotte du Mueron.
You will find karabiners already installed in order to practice the activity independently.
