Description
Built by the friars of Lérins Abbey in the 10th or 11th century, it was probably Fayence's first parish church.
The chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, whose feast day is celebrated every September 8.
This chapel in the heart of the vineyards, with its Romanesque bell tower and particularly harmonious stonework, exudes a feeling of great serenity.
The interior features paintings, a marble altar, a 16th-century gilded wooden tabernacle and an altarpiece with frescoes depicting the main phases of the Virgin's life.
