Écrin de verdure, le parc de 24 hectares, ouvert au public, est traversé par les vestiges de l’aqueduc romain. La végétation de type méditerranéen y a gardé une apparence spontanée. Dès l’entrée, de somptueux pins parasols imposent leur majesté, plus loin des sentiers mènent aux cèdres, genêts, cistes, arbousiers, myrtes et rosiers anciens. Au fil des saisons, le décor change et permet aux connaisseurs d’observer des espèces rares : la Scille du Pérou, le Freezia, l’Acanthe, le Cyclamen de Naples, l’Amaryllis belladona, le tapis d’Iris
botaniques ou la collection d’orchidées sauvages…
Au cœur du Parc Aurélien, entre un escalier à balustres et les vestiges de l’aqueduc romain, se blottit un lieu privilégié : le jardin bouquetier, réservé
uniquement à la culture des fleurs à bouquet.
Le parc abrite également un espace doté de structures de jeux pour les enfants.
