Description
The orchid greenhouses were founded by Michel Vacherot in 1984. His daughter Raphaëlle, just as passionate as her father, now runs the family business: an orchid farm with 2,500 m² of heated greenhouses equipped with an in vitro cultivation laboratory.
At the heart of the greenhouses of a world-famous designer, a visit to the orchid farm is an educational experience that allows visitors to understand the fascinating world of the birth, growth and reproduction of these extraordinary and bewitching plants, at the very heart of their specialist laboratory.
There are two key events to keep in your diaries:
- Open Days on the first weekend of March and December.
For 3 days (Friday to Sunday), guided tours and free potting workshops are on offer.
- From 18 July to 5 September 2024.
The growers are offering guided tours followed by a vanilla wine tasting every Thursday evening at 6.30pm.
For those with a passion for vanilla, the curious or the amateur, cultivation courses are scheduled once a month. The schedule is available on their website.
