Pour cet ultime volet d’un triptyque consacré au temps et à ses distorsions (entamé avec Il Sole non si Muove et Contretemps), la Compagnie Rassegna se confronte au répertoire du XVIIème siècle, en l’exposant à des traitements sonores actuels et des modalités d’interprétation issues des musiques traditionnelles, afin de révéler la dimension généralement refoulée du bruit, du réel du son, dans sa dimension d’absolu inouï. Au sens littéral du terme : qui n’a jamais été ouï.
Confronter une guitare électrique à une viole de gambe faire interpréter le lamento de Didon de Purcell par une chanteuse de Fado, scratcher et travailler en direct le grain d’un air de cour, deviennent dès lors autant d’occasions de faire entendre la matière qui constitue cette musique, dans toute son épaisseur. Pour l’étrangéifier - “ni tout à fait la même, ni tout à fait une autre”, dirait le poète - et nous permettre de la redécouvrir dans sa neuve beauté.
Dans une mise en scène toute en clair-obscur, les ombres se dessinent, les artistes apparaissent, disparaissent, dansent. Le charme opère, si bien qu’on ose à peine le rompre.
