Description
The exhibitions relate local agriculture in which the mimosa has had an exceptional place for over a century.
THE EXHIBITION
Its educational panels make it possible to highlight
the arrival of the mimosa on the Massif de Tanneron, the largest
mimosa forest of France
AGRICULTURE AND THE TOOLS OF YESTERDAY
An exhibition of tools demonstrates local agricultural activity, both in market gardening and beekeeping.
Tools from yesteryear, made available by Tanneron farmers, are on display.
There are around sixty operators in the commune, the
most of them are foliage producers
ornaments, including eucalyptus and mimosa, without forgetting the
beekeepers, market gardeners and olive growers.
For several generations, they have shaped the Tanneron landscape.
WORKSHOPS
this place offers thematic workshops around mimosa, in winter. These activities allow you to discover this flower in different aspects: creative workshops, guided nature walks and hikes.
Sports activities in the heart of mimosa are offered.
Other workshops are held during the April school holidays (zone B) and a few Fridays per month.
This Country House includes a tourist information office and a shop selling local products.
