Le parfum du pain qui sort du four. Un souvenir de goûter gourmand avec du chocolat ou de la confiture maison. La fête du Pain met en lumière le savoir-faire des boulangers locaux avec la fabrication et bénédiction des pains à l'ancienne et spéciaux.
Un pain se respire. La croûte, au parfum plus ou moins torréfié, suggère aux gourmands de légères notes boisées. La mie, à l'acidité variante, est sublimée par un parfum de levain. Tradition méditerranéenne, la fête du Pain honore Saint-Joseph le patron de la famille, des artisans mais aussi des voyageurs et des exilés.
A 10h00, la procession avec Monsieur le Curé et les confréries débute de la place Perrin vers l'Eglise. Il s'en suit la messe et la bénédiction des pains.
Le temps d'une journée, sur la place Perrin, le savoir-faire des boulangers locaux est mis en lumière avec la fabrication des pains à l'ancienne au four à bois. Pour le plaisir de tous, des stands de boulangers et de confections de gâteaux sont là pour satisfaire toute gourmandise durant la journée. La minoterie est également mis à l'honneur avec un stand transformant les céréales en farine. Les pains et les mets sont bénis avant d'être partagés et dégustés.
A 14h30, démonstrations de pizzas et ateliers pour enfants animés par Simone Desogus, triple championne de France.
