Ce concert, enrichi des classes de cordes et d’un atelier jazz, plonge le public dans l’univers unique de ces deux géants du jazz.
Le duo « Django meets Erroll » avec Louca GERRIS à la guitare et Quentin PRADEL au piano, exauce une rencontre qui n’a jamais eu lieu, entre deux musiciens des plus singuliers de l’histoire du Jazz. Celle d’un français, père du jazz manouche, Django REINHARDT, et d’un américain, Erroll GARNER, certainement le pianiste de swing le plus inclassable. Pour pallier ce rendez-vous manqué, il fallait deux musiciens, spécialistes et amoureux du style de ces deux protagonistes. La fusion musicale est pourtant évidente, ni Erroll GARNER, ni Django REINHARDT, ne lisaient la musique. A l’occasion de ce concert se joindront les classes de violoncelles de Emmanuelle OGER, le quatuor à cordes de Jérôme ARRIGNON, ainsi que les élèves de l’atelier jazz pour une immersion dans les compositions de Django REINHARDT et d’Erroll GARNER.
Cette scène partagée avec les élèves des classes de cordes du Conservatoire, incarne toute la vitalité d’une musique où l’engagement individuel et collectif entraînera l’auditeur dans ce moment musical original et hors-normes.
