Description
This Romanesque church, classified as a historical monument, was until the 19th century the parish church of Saint-Raphaël. It is dedicated to the Archangel Raphael. It was built in the 12th and 13th centuries on the remains of earlier buildings and was part of a defensive complex. In the 14th century it was enlarged by the addition of a square watchtower surmounted by a bell tower from which one discovers a beautiful panorama of the city and the sea. Adjacent to the municipal archaeological museum, it is a prestigious cultural space.
