Description
The Domaine de l'Olivette is a young family olive grove on the banks of the Argens, in Roquebrune-sur-Argens. The first olive trees were planted in 1988 by Claire and Dominique Delmotte. Today, the olive grove covers an area of 10 hectares, with 2000 olive trees. It was taken over by their son Sylvain and his wife Angélique.
Six varieties of olive trees are grown for oil: Picholine, Bouteillan, Cailletier, Cornicabra, Cayon and Arbequine. Others are used for table olives, such as Lucques, but also Picholine and Cailletier.
Since the beginning of the olive farm, they have been producing as naturally as possible: grassed fields, use of white clay for cryptogamic diseases, etc.
The Domaine de l'Olivette also runs an olive tree nursery.
