Du kickboxing, certes, mais aussi, et c'est une grande première pour ce gala, du Pancrace. Un programme concocté aux petits oignons par le maitre de la soirée, Badri Rouabhia, directeur sportif de l’Association des Jeunes Sportifs Raphaëlois.
Pour cette soirée exceptionnelle qui devrait réunir plus de 1 200 spectateurs, « Battle of Saint-Raphaël » se joue toujours à guichet fermé depuis sa création. Pas moins de 14 combats sont prévus dont la moitié en Pancrace. Tout comme le MMA, le grappling, le ju-jitsu brésilien, le Pancrace est en train de bouleverser le paysage hexagonal des sports de combats. Cela plait beaucoup au public, mais aussi et surtout aux pratiquants qui sont de plus en plus nombreux à se licencier dans les clubs de la région et de la France entière.
Logique de ce fait que le « Battle of Saint-Raphaël » s'ouvre ainsi à ces nouvelles disciplines et permette au plus grand nombre de découvrir ces sports et leurs règles. Quant au spectacle, Badri Rouabhia est des plus confiants. Les combats seront de qualité avec des athlètes, professionnels ou amateurs, de haut niveau et qui auront tous à coeur de promouvoir leurs disciplines respectives comme il se doit.
