Description
Roquebrune-sur-Argens is home to a pilgrimage tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. An ancient testimony dating from the 14th century has been found in the local archives. It is the story of Jacques Amic, a pilgrim from Roquebrune-sur-Argens, who tells about his journey to Santiago de Compostela and the experiences he encountered along the way.

From the A8 motorway, take exit 37 “Puget-sur-Argens” and follow signs for Roquebrune-sur-Argens

> ITINERARY
From the cemetery, head towards the Rock of Roquebrune-sur-Argens.
The path will take you behind and around the rock as far as the motorway.
Cross the bridge over the River Argens, then go under the motorway bridge towards Le Muy. This section of the GR long-distance hiking itinerary continues to Le Muy town centre.
> ALONG THE WAY
Before taking the road, stop to visit the village of Roquebrune-sur-Argens.
Visit the Maison du Patrimoine, a heritage museum that occupies an old stable building dating from 1883. Oustaou de Compostelle is a stopover Gîte at an ideal location just 100 metres off the GR long-distance hiking trail.
